- 200g red lentils
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 tsp ginger
- 400g tin diced/crushed tomatoes
- 2tbsp tomato paste
- 500ml water/stock
- 2 tsp turmeric-free curry spice mix
- 1 tsp garam masala
Instructions
Rinse lentils until water runs clear.
Heat oil on medium.
Add the spice mix, stir 30–60 sec.
Add onion — cook 5–7 min.
Add garlic + ginger — cook 1 min.
Add tomatoes + tomato paste.
Add lentils + water/stock. Simmer 20–25 min, stir occasionally.
Add more water if too thick.
Optional: add ½–1 tsp garam masala at the end. i need aphotrelasitic image ofthis dish
